Espresso-Konzert
Our Artist in Residence Augustin Hadelich enjoys playing - not only the violin, but also complicated, large-scale strategy games as a balance to his job. „They challenge my mind so much that music has no place in them, and at the same time you need a similar mindset as on stage,“ he says. In the course of his portrait evening, he reveals why strategy games are even on the curriculum of his violin class at Yale University and what they have to do with his profession as a musician. Like all artists in residence at the Konzerthaus Berlin, Augustin Hadelich receives the exclusive key to the Werner-Otto-Saal. He will present his favorite chamber music works and personal conversations about important inspirations and his journey from Italy via Germany to America. The violinist will be joined on stage by musical companions and like-minded people, with whom he will, of course, also play music. Award-winning game developer Uwe Rosenberg will also be there as a special guest when Hadelich takes us into his own personal universe.
The internationally successful card game „Bohnanza“ and numerous board games come from the award-winning German game designer and trained statistician Uwe Rosenberg. In 2008, he won the German Games Prize with „Agricola“.
