Weihnachtskonzert des Georg-Friedrich-Händel-Gymnasiums
In our season #43, we explore the tonal limits of the harpsichord, the sieve carrier of the 18th century. Why was the instrument a status symbol for every upscale establishment at the time? And what tonal possibilities exist with today's technical means? We discuss this with harpsichordist Elina Albach. As artistic director of the CONTINUUM ensemble, she will be performing in the first concerts of our new series “Berlin Tracks” in November. Exploring new paths and pushing boundaries is a natural part of her profession. Find out what drives her and how it sounds in the end in our stream featuring live baroque and contemporary music by Élisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre and Donnacha Dennehy. Tune in, chat with us, and find out what the stainless discoloration is all about! As the first symphony orchestra, the Konzerthausorchester Berlin started an interactive livestream series on the gaming platform twitch in April 2021.The monthly two-hour livestreams are called „Spielzeit" and had 1.34 million views so far. For an average of 3.000 viewers, members of the Konzerthausorchester Berlin play music, explain their instruments and offer glimpses into their professional daily life.
