Rundgang
Anyone who previously believed that the largest of all instruments only showed off to its best advantage on its own should come to one of the concerts on March 31 or April 1-2, 2023, which will be conducted by Japanese conductor Yutaka Sado with the Konzerthausorchester and soloist Iveta Apkalna. Then Aaron Copland's "Symphony for Organ and Orchestra" from 1924, which the composer wrote at the beginning of his career, will be heard.
Something special is waiting for all organ fans on April 30, one minute before midnight: the organ concert for Walpurgis Night, fittingly with Petr Eben's "Faust", for which the organ will be joined by Max Hopp as speaker.
In a surprise concert with works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Georges Bizet, Paul Dukas, Philip Glass and others, Iveta Apkalna will conclude the second season of her three-year residency with us on June 18.
In the 2022/23 season we welcome soprano Fatma Said to Gendarmenmarkt!
