Stephan Stadtfeld studied classical trumpet in Saarbrücken with Peter Leiner, in Karlsruhe with Reinhold Friedrich and in Hanover with Jeroen Berwaerts, as well as jazz trumpet in Stuttgart with Christian Meyers. He was a scholarship holder at the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. He is currently also studying jazz composition and arrangement in Mannheim.

Eat and enjoy the peace and quiet.
It’s hard to name just one. But it was certainly one of my first concerts with Iván Fischer. This was the first time I had the feeling that we were able to exploit the enormous potential of our orchestra and make music that was full of confidence and passion. That was both liberating and beautiful.
