Which concert with the Konzerthausorchester was a special emotional experience for you?

“Le Sacre du printemps” and Mahler’s 2nd Symphony with Iván Fischer. Unforgettable moments.

What do you like most about being an orchestral musician?

“Choose a profession you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” Confucius. That’s how I would explain it.

What is particularly appealing to you about playing the French horn?

Above all, the soulful and velvety tone! And, of course, the fact that you can play a thousand different roles with the French horn. Sometimes it’s a bird, sometimes a hero. For me, it’s my passion! ❤️📯

What would you be doing if you hadn’t become a musician?

I have a great interest in gastronomy. I love to cook, maybe I would be a chef. Or a good bartender who makes the best cocktails!

Which favourite place in Berlin do you recommend when you have visitors?

For me, there is no particular favourite place. The whole city is gorgeous. Every corner smells of global culture with many different nationalities. Berlin is innovative and creative – a dream for artists. Or, in the words of Franz von Suppé: “You are crazy, my child. You must go to Berlin.”
