The Konzerthausorchester Berlin stands in solidarity with the teaching staff of Berlin's public music schools and supports their urgent appeal for safe and fair working conditions. We see it as our duty to promote and defend musical education and culture in our city.
We are delighted to have been honoured in the "Innovative Concert of the Year" category for our project " Die Orchestergesellschaft". The participatory format, which makes communication in the orchestra tangible for the audience, will officially receive the OPUS on 13 October at the award ceremony in the Konzerthaus.
Due to renovation work, the Gendarmenmarkt is currently a large construction site. The square will remain closed during the two-year construction period. Charlottenstraße is also currently closed. You can reach the regular entrance to the Konzerthaus from Taubenstraße and Jägerstraße.
Berlin’s major orchestras and three opera houses call on all Berliners to take a stand against anti-Semitism and hatred. Even in turbulent times, controversies must be addressed non-violently and with tolerance. This basis of our social cohesion is currently under threat.
