After the successful premiere of the dance project RESISTANZ by choreographer Jiří Bartovanec last year, composer Lutz Glandien has now further developed his piece for ensemble unitedberlin and a female speaker for the concert hall: What would we think and feel if we knew that the last night of our lives had arrived?

German and French Résistance literature are the sources of the multimedia live audio piece „Die letzte Nacht - Der Traum vom Widerstand“ (The Last Night - The Dream of Resistance) for ensemble, soprano, narrator, video sequences and electro-acoustic feeds. Texts and music between fear and hope, despair and strength, agonising and grateful remembrance, resignation and trust in God are given a heartbreaking topical reference in view of recent developments in world affairs. Tonight concludes the four-part season-long concert series „The Dream of Resistance“ by ensemble unitedberlin.
