Sommerliche Führung durch das Konzerthaus Berlin
Every concert is an immediate physical experience. The Daw Festival NOW HERE makes this experience particularly intense – by breaking away from familiar settings and routines, through the visual design of soundscapes, and via pre-concert workshops.
To this end, the Konzerthaus and the Konzerthausorchester Berlin are collaborating with the independent collective Detect Sounds, which has been bringing together classical, electronic and experimental music scenes on the outskirts of Berlin at the Detect Classic Festival since 2018.
Igor Stravinsky’s polyrhythms in *Le sacre du printemps* are felt differently in the body when standing than when seated in the Grand Hall – and then transition into an improvised live electronic set.
Featuring performers from Berlin’s voguing scene, a recital offers a physical exploration of sexuality and sensuality, before Latin American-inspired melodies encourage the audience to sing along.
Artists with and without disabilities from Theater Thikwa will perform a fairy-tale play that engages the whole body.
Together with IÇ IÇE, the platform for new Anatolian music and post-migrant perspectives, we are curating a festival day that creates further space for exchange, empowerment and music from Berlin in the here and now.
