Festveranstaltung Orden Pour le mérite für Wissenschaften und Künste
During our 2003/04 season, we developed a program together with our volunteers that has since served as a model for other organizations. The Institute for Culture and Media Management at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg provided advice while the Robert-Bosch-Stiftung offered financial support.
Over 50 music-loving men and women volunteers expand the amount of service we are able to offer our visitors through their involvement. While on duty for a concert, our volunteers (easily recognizable by their purple scarves and black waistcoats), are more than happy to answer any of your questions.
30-minute tours through the Konzerthaus are offered almost daily by our volunteers, where interested visitors can take a look at all four of our concert venues. Our “EinBlick frei” program, lead by our expert volunteer guides, gives you a chance to explore the vestibulum and take a look inside the large hall.
Our volunteers aren’t just there for the adult guests, however, but also for the little ones. Students interested in watching a dress rehearsal of the Konzerthausorchester are instructed at their school by two volunteers and also accompanied during the rehearsal.
Here you can read a portrait of two volunteers from the very beginning. Gisela Wiebe and Ingelore Zaumseil report on their experiences in the Konzerthaus.
With the kind support of Zukunft Konzerthaus e.V.
