What do you like most about being an orchestral musician?

I’ve turned my hobby into my profession. It doesn’t get any better than that.

What do you find particularly appealing about playing the French horn?

“The French horn is the soul of the orchestra.” (Robert Schumann)

Which concert with the Konzerthausorchester was a special emotional experience for you?

The 7th and 9th symphonies by Beethoven with Iván Fischer. Rock‘n’roll!

Which favourite place in Berlin do you recommend when you have visitors?

I recommend strolling through my neighbourhood in Friedrichshain.

What is your favourite dish, where do you eat it in Berlin, or do you cook it yourself?

Lentils with spaetzle! An old family recipe. I cook it myself or eat it at home.
