Dorothee Dargel studied in Leipzig and was deputy principal viola in the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra before joining the Konzerthausorchester. For many years, she has been a very active chamber musician in various formations.

I like being an orchestral musician because it gives me a lot of variety. Every week we play different works and have different conductors. So my professional life is always exciting and in motion.
