“For me, music is a home, a safe place. Its counterpart is silence. In meditation, I come home to myself,” says soprano Vera-Lotte Boecker. For her portrait evening, our Artist in Residence has invited meditation teacher Holger Yeshe, who had been practicing as a Buddhist monk in Nepal, India, and Europe for many years. An evening featuring conversations about the connection between music and meditation, a guided meditation for beginners, and works performed by the Trio E.T.A. that are particularly close to Vera-Lotte Boecker’s heart.
