This time, Charly Hübner focuses on German-Turkish musical culture since the 1960s. The guests are Ebru Düzgün, aka ‘Ebow’, a rapper with Turkish roots who grew up in Munich, whose lyrics reflect her queer-feminist, socially critical stance on major issues; Fadime Gültekin, a forklift driver by day who brings people together at theatre and music events; and director Cem Kaya, who has portrayed Turkish-origin music culture in Germany in his multi-award-winning documentary ‘Aşk, Mark ve Ölüm’ (‘Love, the D-Mark and Death’).

Charly Hübner, born in Mecklenburg in 1972. Studied acting at the Ernst Busch, theater actor until 2003. Breakthrough in front of the camera in 2006 in “Das Leben der Anderen”. Role of Inspector Bukow in 24 episodes of “Polizeiruf 110”. Numerous awards, including the Bavarian Film Prize, Golden Camera and Grimme Prize. Director & screenwriter (including “Wildes Herz”, “Sophia, der Tod und ich”), author ("Wenn du wüsstest, was ich weiß... The author of my life“ about Uwe Johnson; ”Charly Hübner on Motörhead or Why I should be grateful to James Last"). Versatile enthusiast in the field of classical music.
