Sommerliche Führung durch das Konzerthaus Berlin
Having won awards at the Concours de Genève and the ARD Competition, the Armida Quartet – named after the heroine of a Haydn opera – ranks among Germany’s most renowned string quartets after 20 years of performing together.
Between Beethoven’s very first quartet from 1799 and Schubert’s famous late string quartet ‘Rosamunde’ – in whose second movement a melody from his incidental music of the same name is varied – the four string players have included ‘Entr’acte’, a contemporary piece by Caroline Shaw inspired by the Viennese Classical period.
