Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Joana Mallwitz
JaeWon Song studied in Cologne with Frans Helmerson and the Alban Berg Quartett and in Frankfurt with Antonio Meneses and Michael Sanderling. She has won prizes in various Korean competitions and received a grant of Stiftung Villa Musica that enabled her to learn from renowned musicians like Thomas Brandis and Miriam Fried. She particularly enjoys playing chamber music and regularly joins colleagues of the Konzerthausorchester for chamber concerts on the Konzerthaus stage.
The most beautiful thing about my job is that I can play an (almost) infinite number of symphonies and listen to these pieces at the same time from my spot in the middle.
With good grades I would have become a lawyer, with normal ones, a dog trainer.
I would like to be able to play the French horn.
My favourite place in Berlin is the Grunewaldsee.
