Fancy experiencing the season opener from the Konzerthaus Berlin under the summer evening sky? You can, via livestream! As you sit back in your deckchair and raise a glass to this cultural experience, the stage at the Gendarmenmarkt fills with the musicians of the Konzerthaus Orchestra.

Silence falls, the tension mounts, and even before the first note is played, you can hear a pin drop. Watch the strings’ fingers at work, get up close to the wind section, become part of the large classical music audience at your favourite open-air cinema, and let yourself be swept away: From Maurice Ravel’s fairy-tale-like miniatures  “Ma mère l’oye” and the swirling rhythms of his masterpiece ‘La Valse’, to Unsuk Chin’s powerful “Subito con forza” and the most beautiful passages from Sergei Prokofiev’s ballet music for “Romeo and Juliet”.

We ask our visitors at the Konzerthaus Berlin to take their seats in the hall as punctually as possible, as the audiovisual transmission begins shortly before 8 pm.

A photographer will be present at both the Friedrichshain Open-Air Cinema and the Grand Hall of the Konzerthaus.
