Igor Prokopets studied in Berlin at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music with Barbara Sanderling and at the University of the Arts with Mikhael B. Wolf. He has performed as a soloist with the Konzerthaus Chamber Orchestra, among others. He is co-founder and lecturer at the Mecklenburg Palace Academy, teaches double bass scholarship holders at the Kurt Sanderling Academy of the Konzerthaus Orchestra and gives master classes in Germany, Austria and China. Igor Prokopets is a member of the current orchestra board.
