Barbara Kehrig studied in Mannheim with Alfred Rinderspacher and Berlin with Klaus Thunemann. Before she joined the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the bassoonist was a member of the Münchner Philharmoniker. Among other distinctions, Barbara Kehrig is a former member of the Karajan Academy of the Berliner Philharmoniker and a prize winner of international competitions like Prager Frühling (2002).
