“Outstanding” and “long overdue” - the double CD that Christoph Eschenbach and the Konzerthausorchester dedicated last year to works by the composer Franz Schreker (1878 - 1934), who was so successful during his lifetime and later almost forgotten, was enthusiastically received by critics. Now three of the multifaceted orchestral compositions by the late Romantic composer, some of which are reminiscent of film music, can be heard live in the Great Hall.
