Rundgang
Long before the Second Viennese School, Franz Liszt composed piano works that advanced the dissolution of tonality. The choral music of Carlo Gesualdo, whose dissonant harmonies, still bold today, clashed with the mores of the 16th century, seems equally avant-garde. With the help of pianist Cédric Pescia and Opus Vocale, the brainchildren of the two visionaries meet in the Große Saal – which shows how amazingly expandable the traditional piano recital format can be.
