Who knew that Sheku Kanneh-Mason spends every April on the Caribbean island of Antigua? And that there is a youth orchestra there that our artist in residence has been involved with for six years? So when Sheku Kanneh-Mason takes us into his personal universe, the subject close to his heart, the Antigua & Barbuda Youth Symphony Orchestra, is a must. He invites two important allies as special guests: the orchestra director of the “ABYSO” and the High Commissioner for Antigua and Barbuda in the United Kingdom. An exciting conversation is therefore pre-programmed. And, of course, it's also about our music-obsessed artist in residence's favorite pieces of music: on the one hand, his very personal playlist across all genres. And on the other, hand-picked chamber music works, for which he invites two close musical companions on stage. Together with them, Sheku Kanneh-Mason will once again celebrate the joy of playing together at the end of his residency.
