From Wittenau to Hermannstraße, the U8 subway line runs through 24 stations and creates unique encounters in its train cars. As different as the neighborhoods along the line are, as colorful and diverse are the people it brings together. With music and video, the Ramal Ensemble condenses an imagined subway journey into a concert experience. Just as the U8 integrates centers of the Arab community into the city network, the Ramal Ensemble is building bridges between different cultures with its broad repertoire and the musicians' own compositions.
