Start 2023 with music in the Great Hall – joined by the Konzerthausorchester, conductor Alexander Shelley and orchestral pieces from the Romantic and Classical Modern periods that you enjoy hearing again and again: “La Valse”, Maurice Ravel’s ironic homage to the 19th century, and his hypnotic “Boléro”. Tchaikovsky’s charming bow to Mozart in “Variations on a Rococo Theme” with cello soloist Daniel Müller-Schott and Gershwin’s jazz-infused “An American in Paris” from 1928, bursting with the Roaring Twenties energy of the “Années Folles”. And with two famous waltzes from two different centuries that will accompany you into 2023 as remarkably catchy tunes!
