Chief Conductor Christoph Eschenbach and Mirian Khukhunaishvili lead the Konzerthausorchester Berlin with renowned Ukrainian and international soloists. On the program: works by Ukrainian composers, Bruch and Mozart, as well as Mahler's Fourth.
With this concert, the Konzerthaus Berlin supports the humanitarian aid of International Rescue Committee (IRC). IRC was founded in 1933 on the initiative of Albert Einstein and supports people worldwide who are forced to flee political crises, war, persecution or natural disasters. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to the work of IRC - and thus to needy families worldwide. All musicians involved waive their fees.
International Rescue Committee (IRC) and Ukraine
Since March 2022, IRC has been providing humanitarian aid to refugees and people in Ukraine. Together with local partner organizations, IRC supports needy families with relief supplies, medicines and cash for urgent needs. In neighboring countries, IRC provides psychological help and initial orientation to traumatized new arrivals. In Germany, refugees from Ukraine are supported in the areas of education and economic integration. IRC helps refugee women and children in particular to protect themselves from exploitation and abuse.
