Führung durch das Konzerthaus Berlin
At the Konzerthaus Berlin, we are convinced that music moves people and brings them together. Our primary concern is to give a broad public the opportunity to become acquainted with classical music or to pursue their longstanding passion with us, regardless of their education or social background.
This includes major symphony concerts of the highest standard performed by the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, as well as various innovative formats, including the enthusiastically received “Mittendrin – Right in the Middle” concerts, in which the audience sits directly next to our orchestral musicians during the concert, our “Hear it Twice CONTEMPORARY” series, the Mozart Matinée with musical childcare or public rehearsals moderated by conductors and aimed at school classes as part of our education programme. We target diverse audiences with festival tributes to luminaries of the music world and experiments such as the digital-analogue hybrid festival “The Sounds of Berlin”.
Our self-image as Konzerthaus Berlin includes networking and regular collaboration with artists and ensembles of various styles from the multifaceted local independent scene.
For us, the enormous potential of digital cultural mediation lies in new media-based approaches to knowledge. For some years now, we have been expanding our digital offers, which are geared towards immersion, interaction and participation, to complement our analogue programme. These include our augmented reality app, different applications for VR glasses, streams and a web series with members of the Konzerthausorchester Berlin on the gaming channel “Twitch”. With our contributions in the digital space, we provide a variety of low-threshold opportunities to prepare or follow up on concert visits and enter into a conversation with us.
